Amazing experience! Jon was our guide - with 28 years experience leading groups into the canyon, he had it spot on. From pre-trip communication to pick-up to the hike itself, everything was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more. If you're thinking about doing it, JUST BOOK IT. You won't regret it.

We had an absolutely fantastic time hiking the Grand Canyon! The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful, with passing thunderstorms and the most incredible rainbows adding to the experience. Our guide, Kevin, was a true wealth of knowledge and so gracious about letting us go at our own pace. The breathtaking views, unforgettable adventure, and time together as a family created memories we’ll cherish forever. Truly an experience we’ll never forget!

This was the highlight of my vacation. Jon was an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. He provided all the equipment needed for the hike and gave tips on how and why to use all the equipment.Along with equipment expert knowledge of the canyon and the best picture spots were provided all throughout the hike.He provided a one of a kind experience, you'd be crazy not to take this offer if youve never hiked the grand canyon before.The only regret I have is I cant give more than 5 stars!Truly an unforgettable experience, thank you for the wonderful time!

Matt was an excellent guide in every way. His driving was experienced and I felt safe and secure throughout the journey. He was so knowledgeable about the geology, flora and fauna as well as the history of the Canyon. He exceeded our expectations in every way.

We were with Francesca for a hike down into the canyon (about a mile) and we stopped at Dessert view for a relaxing lunch and sight seeing, with several more iconic views along the south rim. Francesca is extremely familiar with both the canyon and the local Navajo history along with several species of plant life and how they rejuvenate the forest after a wildfire along with how these plants can help your personal health, both mental and physical. She was great to spend the day with.

We were a bit concerned about being able to do the hike physically, but Dana was so patient and let us go at our own pace. The information and education she provided while we were on the hike was absolutely incredible.

Our guide, Matt, who’s a geologist made each step along the trail a history lesson. He adjusted to our quick pace and filled the steps with fascinating knowledge. Plus incredible snacks and picnic lunch.

Our family of four had an incredible experience hiking the South Kaibab Trail with Chris. From the moment we booked, he communicated clearly, made sure we had the right gear and provided what we didn't and answered all our questions.What made this experience special was how personalized it felt. Chris took the time to get to know each of us and shared canyon facts, history, geology and even little discoveries based on our individual interests. With four people of varying hiking abilities, we especially appreciated how Chris taught us to use hiking poles, pace ourselves, and hike safely, giving those of us who needed it more confidence while helping everyone enjoy the trail.His positive attitude made the entire afternoon fun and memorable. From the extra water and snacks on the trail to the delicious meal and family photos, Chris thought of everything and made us feel taken care of from beginning to end.If you're considering a guided hike, book with confidence. Chris helped turn a beautiful hike into a family memory we'll treasure for years. And if you're like me and don't hike often, don't let that stop you - he makes it feel approachable, achievable, and enjoyable.

This experience is far better than standing on the rim, I would recommend it to anyone who is able to walk the incline.

Emilia was something special. She led us into the canyon and spent time describing the different theories/hypotheses concerning the geology and historical formation of the canyon. We learned so much and also had wonderful fellowship along the way. Thank you Emilia and Grace be with your spirit sis!

My husband and I had a terrific time on our hike with Chris, our guide. From start to finish Chris went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. He has extensive knowledge of the GC history which he sprinkled throughout the hike. Perfect balance of conversation, camaraderie and truly just a good time! It was an amazing personalized experience and we’ll be using him again when we come back!

Chris was terrific. He was very, very knowledgeable about the canyon's history, geology, flora and fauna. He's the real deal, and he took great care to make sure we were safe and enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend him as a guide for any age or skill level hiker.

Our guide Matt was excellent. He texted us the day before the tour and made sure we knew where to meet and what to bring for the hike and the weather. He promptly picked us up on the morning of the tour. We had one other nice family with us, so it felt like a private tour. We saw many of the main and most beautiful viewing points during the day, including the watchtower. The best part of the day was our hike to Ooh Aah point on the South Kaibab Trail. Matt knew it would still have some ice patches and provided us all with crampons for our shoes, this made us all feel much safer. We saw a few people slipping on the ice, but everyone in our group had no problem with the ice. Matt made sure we were hydrating and also brought a lot of healthy snacks that are good for hiking. He took great photos of our family throughout the day. Matt is a geologist and taught us a lot about how the Grand Canyon formed, as well as about local plants and about the Native American people that call the Grand Canyon home. Our kids also enjoyed the whole day (teenaged boys). The van was clean and very comfortable. I would go with this company again!!!

My hike with Jon Shkolnik on Tuesday, August 18, was an extraordinary experience—far more powerful and memorable than I had anticipated.From beginning to end, Jon was exceptional. We started promptly at 2:00 p.m. and finished exactly on schedule at 9:00 p.m. Throughout the hike, he established a pace that seemed perfectly calibrated to me, both during the descent into the canyon and, more importantly, during the demanding climb back out. I never felt rushed, yet we kept moving steadily and efficiently.The scenery was magnificent, but what struck me just as deeply was the extraordinary stillness of the canyon. At times, the silence was almost deafening. Jon understood when to provide insight and when simply to allow the canyon to speak for itself.He kept me well fed and properly hydrated throughout the hike and continually demonstrated both professionalism and sound judgment. His knowledge of the canyon—its geology, natural history, environment, and character—added enormously to the experience. His explanations during both the descent and ascent gave me a much deeper appreciation of what I was seeing.Most importantly, Jon made a challenging hike feel safe, well managed, and thoroughly enjoyable. He was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without lecturing, and personable throughout seven remarkable hours.The views were unforgettable, but Jon’s skill, preparation, and understanding of his guest made the experience exceptional. I could not recommend him more highly.

We had an amazing experience hiking the Grand Canyon with Kevin from Only Grand Canyon. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the canyon, its history, geology, and wildlife, but what really stood out was how fun and personable he was throughout the entire hike. I was especially nervous about some of the drop-offs, and he was unbelievably patient and reassuring with me. He never made me feel embarrassed or rushed and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and safe every step of the way. That made such a difference and allowed me to actually relax and enjoy the experience. Besides bringing gear for us to use, Kevin gave us extra water and incredible snack bags!!! He didn't leave one stone unturned! Having dinner in the canyon was really special and the wraps Kevin prepared were fresh and delicious! It was such a unique and memorable experience and definitely something we will never forget! I would highly recommend the sunset hike with Kevin from Only Grand Canyon. He made our Grand Canyon hike truly unforgettable!
