Excellent Tour, Fabulous Guide
We just finished a tour with Werner and had an exceptional experience. Three teenage boys were fully engaged from the get go. Entering off road added a cool perspective about the history of the park. Werner insightfully suggested adjusting the tour from spending an hour at the Village to spending 30 minutes there but adding a very manageable 30 minute hike off the rim trail and showing us incredible views and educating us on the geology, flora and fauna. Such a value add to our Grand Canyon experience.

Werner was our guide and he was great . Nice ride through the forest. It was just us and saw no other people. Took a short hike where there were no other people where we ended up. Very knowledgeable. Great way to see the Grand Canyon! We are in sixties and hike was doable!

Good, not “Wow!”
Tour was “off road” only in that we took the dirt road from Tusayan to the interior of the park, bypassing the South Gate and associated traffic, which can be beneficial during high tourist seasons. Guide was nice, but not highly informative. The guide used a vehicle-mounted speaker system, the volume of which was inadequate to overcome the ambient vehicle / road noise. We could hear some but not all of his narration. Overall, a positive experience.

It was great to experience the canyon in the early evening hours and experience the colors of the sunset. Werner was a great guide who obviously still gets excited to share his knowledge even after 12 years.

This was a great excursion! Fun, informative and entertaining. Our guide Werner was very engaging. Saw Elk, deer, Big Horned sheep! Loved the off roading on back riads into the canyon. Learned about the history of the canyon, enjoyed beautiful vistas! Loved it!
