Best hiking tour ever
This is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. My 14 year old daughter who is super picky agrees with me. This is not your typical driving to the Grand Canyon in the bus and stay for 20-30 minutes taking photos tour. This is an actual hike going down into Grand Canyon. Physically demanding but definitely doable even for someone like me who is in her 50s and not athletic. Kevin was our guide and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was very informative and spoke about history and topography of Grand Cayman. He knew all the best spots for amazing view and photos. He brought the backpacks with all the supplies needed for us and some tasty snacks. He also made us lunch which was absolutely delicious. My daughter and I could not have asked for better experience. Highly recommend!!!

Worth the money for any level hiker not familiar with the canyon, or looking for a next level experience / adventure. From the initial booking to execution, communication with the provider was exemplary. Our guide (Jon), and his team ensured we didn’t need a thing. This made our travel logistics planning so much easier, and probably wouldn’t have been as prepared as what she needed to be. I was so impressed at our guide’s ability to recognize and adapt. Both my wife and I are athletes. Jon quietly gaged out abilities and provided enough instruction to take us an execution level that quite frankly didn’t think we had. During the hike, he was so in tuned with our performance and environment that made the experience more than either of us expected. Having a Top Level Canyon Expert Guide makes a world of difference. We felt safe in the extreme! He also kindly provided guidance and care to all hikers that we encountered. The unequivocal expert of the trail. We will hire this same company for our next big adventure. Additionally, having the guarantees that Cool Grand Canyon provides makes the expense more palatable. Lastly, regarding “the best food in the Grand Canyon”- Validated!…And NO BUGS!

This was the highlight of my vacation. Jon was an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. He provided all the equipment needed for the hike and gave tips on how and why to use all the equipment.Along with equipment expert knowledge of the canyon and the best picture spots were provided all throughout the hike.He provided a one of a kind experience, you'd be crazy not to take this offer if youve never hiked the grand canyon before.The only regret I have is I cant give more than 5 stars!Truly an unforgettable experience, thank you for the wonderful time!

We were picked up at our RV, so didn’t need to go to a meeting point. From there, we went to the best sites: hiked Kaibab Trail, enjoyed a custom picnic and saw John’s favorite lookouts. We expected a guide to just keep us on the right path. Instead, we were so pleased at the wealth of knowledge about the history and even the geology that John brought to our hike. He shared about the various types of hikes, rafting and endurance races going on, and he didn’t mind staying at our pace, always ensuring we were well taken care of. Would 100% request John at All-Star Tours again. So glad we didn’t go it alone. Truly an All-Star experience!

Great hiking experience with our guide!
My husband and I had a terrific time on our hike with Chris, our guide. From start to finish Chris went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. He has extensive knowledge of the GC history which he sprinkled throughout the hike. Perfect balance of conversation, camaraderie and truly just a good time! It was an amazing personalized experience and we’ll be using him again when we come back!

Kevin was a fantastic guide, and my husband, my 17 year old son, and I all agree our day couldn’t have been better. He paced our hike perfectly, and kept us going at a pace which somehow worked for all of us, taught us a bunch, and the food!!! We all were well fed w snacks and lunch, even the gluten free and dairy free folks.I’ve hiked Grand Canyon years ago and still to this day remember being terrified. Not today!! I felt safe every step of the way. If you are thinking of hiking with them, DO IT!! You will be so glad you did.
